Marilou Mullett, 84, Wabash, passed away 4:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, at Wabash County Hospital in Wabash. She was born to the late Basil and Alice (Wilkinson) Roberts on Feb. 12, 1929 in Peru.

She was a Peru High School graduate of 1947. She married Denny Lee Mullett on June 30, 1962; he passed away Jan. 28, 2003. She was a homemaker to her family.  She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 15. Marilou was an avid volunteer throughout the community for many organizations.

She is survived by her children, Logan Sample, Marion, Daniel Sample (Virginia), Owasso, Okla., Kurt Mullett and Kent Mullett (Tammy), both Wabash, Beverly Gullotti, Theresa Hamilton (Bill), and Tina Smith (Doug) all of Wabash; sister, Julia Boxell of Warsaw; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bethanie Sample; four brothers, and five sisters.

Mass of a Christian Burial was held on July 8, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Mississinewa Cemetery in Somerset.
