Lady Squires start season 2-0
By Eric Christiansen
NORTH MANCHESTER -- For the first time since 2011, the Manchester Squire girls' basketball team started their season with a 2-0 record after using a big fourth quarter to pull away from Bluffton with a 46-30 win.
After leading just 18-17 at halftime, the Squires outscored Bluffton 9-4 in the third quarter, then used a 19-point fourth quarter to secure the win.
"In the third quarter, we'd make a scoring run, then they would. Eventually, we got a couple of stops in a row and scored in transition," Manchester coach Jake Everett said. "That was kind of the difference, our ability to get the transition game down."
